Cindy Sherman

             

            Cindy Sherman is a excellent contemporary photographer and artist.  Most of her artwork she used herself as lead.  This work is form her a tail of artwork Untitled, 1992.  In Untitled, she didn't show herself as lead, instead she use demic pattern like this work.  She seted disordered dispaly of all these demic pattern, made people feel shock, made people think.  Like this work she put a male's head into a female's body, and the arm is like break to the back.  There's on leg.  All of these display makes me astonish.  I believe this artwork is about sex and violence, and it is strongly reflect and sarcasm the society.

            the art institute is really speacil, there are so many different typ of art collcetions and I love them all.  Everybody done a little presentation which is fun and helpful.  I am pay atioattention in some famous paitings for really long time.  Normally I just can view there famous art in some magazines or book, but now I finally have chance to actually view some of them and take picture of them.  Honestly, I'm so excited about I can view these art because most of art students in China, they are not luck as me, they probably just can see these arts in book for their entire life!

Reflection of The Movie I Watch

          Today I watched a movie about Claude Monet named Painter of Light. This movie was publishing at 2005 and it was fifty five minutes long.  It is introduce the life about Claude Monet, different time of his work and how his artwork worked with all these light.  Monet was a great impressionism French painter.  His father want him to help family business, but he want to be an artist.  Boudin was a person who teaches Monet how to use oil painting.  Camile was Monet’s wife who died in 1879 which makes Monet so depressed and he decided never paint a person anymore.  Monet used copy one famous painting but he didn’t want to copy things anymore, he wants to create things because he could see the light.

          By watching this movie I learn that what make Monet extraordinary was the way he saw colors and light, and he use these colors and lights establish a new style of painting which people called impression.  My favorite part is how Monet works on his serious work. One day, Monet go for walk and he see something beautiful, he asked his daughter to go home to get his canvas, he start to painting his serious work.  During the time he was painting he found the light keep change, so he ask for more canvas.  He took a year to finish this type of painting, most of them are painted the some subject matter, but all different.  Because of Monet records all these change lights and airs in his work, he became much popular. 

        This movie teaches me how to view Monet’s work.  The way he can catch all these different colors and airs also make me learn about how I can make my painting more vive.  I like this movie I think it is worth to watch.

Reflection Of Visited MCA

         

          I went to visited MCA art museum this week.  This place had third floor, in the first floor I saw some moden art by Calder. I didn't know how to call this artwork exactlly, but his work is like static abstract sculptures, and these work divided into several different group.  I was enjoy to view this different kind of art, it explan my out look, make came up some new idears, such as I can make some hand made jewelry or little trinkit to put in my room as a decoration.  The second floor has lot of different kinds of painting, actually I didn't look at these painting carefully because I didn't have enough time and I still got some paper work to finish.  Anyways this was a small exhibition, but nice one.  All these things presented new visual feelling to me, and I glad I could see many thing when I took this class.

Reflection about House of Blue

       I went to House of Blue this week, it is really nice place.  House of Blue is a bar, but the decoration in this place was so special, and make this bar looks like an art musesu. There is a large numbers of art work which from different artists. Some of them like private collections, some of them are painting and s. Many people called this place Collection House because it bring all kinds of things together. The owners of this house they like collect staffs which people don't want anymore,  then they bring all the staffs there which makes things became art, and also makes the decoration became memorable. The House of  Blue is most special bar which I've never seen before, and it is also a great place to go. You can have several drinks in here and listen some great music, they have had a cool band. 
      I didn't carry a camera that day so I didn't take any picture. I feel sorry about I just can keep all this moment in my memory!

My Photo Story

Boat Tour

   

  I went to the boat tour this Friday,the weather is great and i saw a lot of  beautiful building.Actually I didn't understood what the guide said petty well, however, I know these buildings not only of various shapes, but also these building are magnificent and most of them are beautiful examples of Chicago architecture.The Boat Tour made me know more about Chicago architecture. All  these buildings are worth seeing I think, include the one be elected the most ugly building of Chicago.Then this tour also gave a chance to talk ,to have fun and to take picture with my classmates, I think I had a great time during this tour!

Cultural Center

  I went to cultural center last week i saw many art work, photo, and architech.  When i walk in into cultural center, i saw many people doing homework and study.  I went to second floor, it show the timeline how they rebuild after chicago fire.  They talks about how Sullivan's idea have created the modern chicago.  They also had many building models.  I went to third floor, i saw many famous photographer's photos.  I saw many photos that i was wondering how they took it and what's the meaning of the photo.  I also saw the old modern recorder and camera.  The cultural center have many great art work and the interior was build really nice.

ONE ART WORT I HAVE CREATED

This  picture I'm draw by myself this week.

I draw this picture simply because I really enjoy drawing and I like all kinds of flower.

I just use a piece of paper, three different size of pen and a bottle of ink.

I don't know if these is any technical skill in this picture,I just practice a lot.

Relection of Audio Tour

  The audio tour is impressive because after i listen to the audio tour,  I want to go see all those places.   The audio tour describe all the public art very detail.  For example, I been to cloud gate few times i never know it was made by stainless steel and weight 110 ton.  The most intresting thing about the audio tour is after i finish listen to all the public park i want to go back to see it again because the audio tour tells you how to view the public art and i didnt see those main point when i was there last time.  The audio tour tells me where i can this amazing places and make me know more about chicago landmark.  There is also some information about art which i never know.  I will recommend the tour to tourist because it good travel guide for them and it's free!!

PUBLIC ART!

This is the art work from MilleniumPark.

I think it is interesting beacuse the water is keep failling from the crown fountain,

but water didn't overflowing, and there is image of a woman's face in

the crown fountain and when the woman open her mouth there is water

spit out which makes the building become more interested!

This is the Sculptor by Richard Hunt.

This sculptor named WE WILL was been built in 2005.It was attracted me beacuse

it has different shapes when you try to look at it in different angle,it make me think

about torch and make me feel like the tide of revolution is surging ahead!

This wall decoration was design by Louis Sullivan. 

  He use the color on the background was totally different from the rose, so when i look at it

the rose on the wall give me the impression that it was about to leap out at me.

This is the cloud gate from millienium park.

  It's seem like a large round mirror and you can see a lot of different refelection in the cloud gate.

  It also make you looks different in the reflection.  The one thing that fascinate me most is when i was standing under the it because i can see many reflection  when i look at the top.

I took this picture in Chicago Culture Center. 

 I can't remember the author's name.  I think this painting is creative because the author didnt draw

 it on the canvas or paper.  I think this picture was carved out of wood and then he draw on it, so it

 looks dimentional to me.  I like this painting because i never saw somebody paint like this.
